National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

NYLT is leadership training for qualified scouts to take. It is a week long camp where you learn leadership skills to bring back to your troop. When you are there you are split into units and then teams of 5 inside the unit. You are assigned a unit leader who will help you throughout the week, and they will have a few presentations with your group. You have presentations spread out throughout the week. The presentations are about the leadership skills that they teach you. At every presentation you have you should write in the participant notebook, because it helps you bring the skills back to your troop. Throughout the week you cook your food with your group, make a gate early in the week. Every day you cook, eat, and go to your unit site for opening flag and announcements. Sometime in the week you do a service project for the camp. Sometimes it could be filling pot holes or moving wood.  In the end it all helps you be the best scout you can be.
