Boy Scouts of America National Office - provides overall policy and program support
Councils serving specific geographic areas -provides program support and administrative help.

Districts serving areas within a council - run by volunteers to provide training, events and programs for the scouts. We are part of the Potowatomi Council in the Glacier Hills District
Units Cub Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Venture Crews run by volunteer leaders who directly work with the boys and present the scout program















Charter Orgnization - An organization such as a church or service club which sponsors and “owns” the Pack. Pack 296 is self sponsored by the parents of cubs. The sponsoring organization provides a representative to the Pack Committee

Pack Committee - (A group of parents and volunteers who are in charge of the administration and support of the Pack. The committee is the group who recruits and selects the Pack leadership subject to the approval of the Charter Organization. The Pack Committee also organizes sub committees to help put on special events)

CubMaster - The volunteer in charge of the overall pack program provided to the boys and the person who runs the monthly pack meeting. The Cubmaster is the individual who leads the Pack leadership who work directly with the boys on program. The Cubmaster may have an assistant to help with this job.

Den Leader – The parent Volunteer that is the point person for the den. The Den Leader runs the den meetings each month. They organize the other parents to help out run the den meetings.
